The emergency department has immediate access to laboratory tests, CT and X-ray, the operating theatre, and ICU, CCU and NICU with ventilator support.
While you wait for help
- If the person is unconscious, check breathing and keep the airway clear.
- For heavy bleeding, press firmly on the wound with a clean cloth.
- For chest pain, keep the person still and calm and call immediately.
- Do not give food or water to someone who may need surgery.
