Joint-replacement awareness programme held for senior citizens in Birgunj

An 'Accessible Joint Replacement Awareness Programme' was held at the Senior Citizens' Park in Birgunj, jointly organised by Lions Club of Birgunj Prabhu and the Senior Citizens' Association, Parsa, with technical support from Prabhu Hospital.

The programme was purely informational, with no health screening. Orthopaedic specialist Dr. Shashwat Prasad and physiotherapist Dr. Richa Chaurasia used slides and videos to explain why joints wear out, how to protect them, and how modern joint-replacement surgery works.

Prabhu Hospital directors Dr. Laxmi Thapa and Dr. Manoj Kumar attended and spoke about the importance of joint health and timely treatment. Participants asked questions about their own conditions, which the specialists answered in plain language.
